A Rainy Afternoon in Edinburgh

Yes, it rains in Edinburgh. Quite a lot actually. So much so that unless it’s really serious rain the local population hardly seem to notice it. I’m always amused when people say to you they visited Edinburgh and it rained. Wow, really? Who’d have thought?

Anyway, it rained the afternoon I took these shots. It’s nice actually being out with a camera in the rain, it gives such a different dimension to the shots from the norm, or is the rain the norm?

Must be local’s the rain hardly even warrants a coat, never mind an umbrella!

It’s heavier now though, proper Scottish rain. The wet stuff. The kind that soaks you through.

It’s good to see the street performers are made of hardy stuff, show must go on and all that.

A hat’s a good start  in heavy rain, not sure a topper’s quite the best option though.
