Real Edinburgh Christmas pt3

Back to Christmas for this post. 3 parts down and it’s not even December yet. So with that in mind, lets kick off with the Dome on George Street who put their decorations up so early it’s hardly worth taking them down in January.

The heighten the celebration this year, we’ve got horse drawn carriage rides up and down the newly (for xmas) pedestrianised Princes Street. Not sure about that carriage mind, swap the horses for black ones and it could be an Eastenders funeral procession.

Another part of this years festivities is the Santa Train. More common abroad on the Spanish resorts the noddy train has had a lick of red paint for Christmas. Up and own Princes Street… if it went anywhere else it would get stuck in roadworks no doubt.

And back to the Christmas Markets… Remember the Balloon seller from an earlier post, seem’s he was waiting on a bus that’ll never come. Can’t see too many balloons being sold in there.

And to the chairy planes again. It was blowing a gale when I took this, must have been fun up in them!

Lets finish up with the Christmas Tree on the Mound, one of many around the city just now.
