Yes, it’s that time again, Christmas is just around the corner and it’s about now it starts to get forcibly rammed down our throats until everyone is royally sick of it by the time December 25th comes. There’s no better indicator of this than the arrival of the Christmas markets and that big wheel in Princes Street Gardens.

  1. Lets go back to the pre 1957 Scotland, when Christmas was banned… My parents remember how in the Highlands in the 1960’s Christmas was still regarded as a working day, even though it was an official holiday, most people were still ignoring it.
